MC² Client Tweaks
A client-side discovery layer that makes the enormous amount of content in heavily modded Minecraft easier to find, understand, and use.
Project position
A player should not need to understand how 700 mods are implemented to understand what their game contains.
Curated presentation instead of accumulated inconsistency.
Large modpacks have a discoverability problem. Excellent player-facing content may be exposed inconsistently through Creative inventory, JEI, or a mod’s own interface, while internal and technical entries appear beside things players are meant to find. At Minecraft² scale, those inconsistencies accumulate. Client Tweaks improves presentation without pretending to own or replace the underlying content.
Surface the things players can actually use.
Creative inventory work exposes useful player-facing modded content that is otherwise difficult to find and prevents technical, internal, placeholder, or “do not touch” entries from dominating the experience where appropriate.
Search should describe the playable installation.
JEI work improves how player-relevant content appears through normal item and recipe browsing. Examples encountered through Minecraft² include Incendium, Grim Kingdoms, and other installed projects. These remain third-party work; Client Tweaks changes presentation or discoverability only.
- Expose useful content with poor default discoverability
- Filter implementation details from player-facing browsing
- Improve the relationship between Creative inventory and JEI
- Preserve third-party ownership and identity
Developed through Minecraft², useful beyond it where practical.
The architecture remains capable of standing outside Minecraft² when that can be done cleanly. No compatibility with untested packs is claimed.
